Verdict

Providing this doesn't come too soon, MUDITA MOMENT should add to his comfortable victory at Warwick under a penalty. That was his first start for more than 18 months but he showed little sign of any ring-rustiness. None of the others arrive in any kind of form with My Friend Riquet, who is a pound out of the handicap, having only won a modest point-to-point three weeks ago - his record under Rules is abysmal. Strange Bird is possibly well handicapped and might do better after a pipe-opener here in November but Brians Well needs some help from the handicapper judged on his latest run at Huntingdon.
