In depth

Verdict

ALDOPICGROS was easy to back on his UK debut at Kempton but still held every chance until blundering at the last. With that run under his belt, Paul Nicholls' French import should be hard to beat here. Unidexter has been placed here and at Fontwell so far and should make the frame again but Karl Marx already looks fully exposed and Herbalist needs to improve on a modest debut at Ludlow. Violet Dancer was only beaten half-a-length over 1m4f at Kempton in June and is only lightly raced. He may have more scope than most of these.
