MOMKINZAIN has gone well on his last three starts, all at this venue, He was probably unlucky the last day not to finish closer in his hat-trick bid but it was still a good effort after a 13lb rise for two previous wins. The step-up to 2m4f should not inconvenience and he's a a logical choice. Fairwood Massini, in contrast, moves down half a mile in trip and the ex-Irish gelding has been mixing chasing and hurdling since moving to Tim Vaughan. However, he's yet to win in 19 starts over hurdles and may have to settle for place money once again. A Bridge Too Far looks weighted to the hilt and Lady Gargoyle rates a bigger danger. A maiden under both codes, she's progressed of late, following up a close second here in novice hurdle company with a fair effort when third on the level at Musselburgh eight days ago, efforts that place her right in the mix here.
