    Verdict

THIRD HALF won twice on the Flat and made a winning start to his hurdling career at Worcester. He may be a better bet than the other winner Indepub, who may have stamina issues despite scraping home at Sedgefield last time. Altnaharra was well beaten at Market Rasen and looks modest and the three debutants didn't manage a win between them on the Flat. Chris Grant's Asteroid Belt may prove the best of them today.
