Verdict

The Musical Guy was only beaten a length at Huntingdon last time when Honest John was fifth but has gone up a couple of pounds since and will probably find one too good again. Nodforms Violet and Lamboro Lad are both returning from an absence but have the form to figure if fully wound-up while Henry Hook was second off this mark at Huntingdon last month, but has disappointed in a couple of starts since. Be Definite isn't without a chance but this trip is the limit of his stamina and more interesting is CARRIGDHOUN. Maurice Barnes' grey won over 2m at Ayr last month but was successful over this trip over hurdles in Ireland and is nicely weighted here. Carlisle winner Bertie Milan should also go close if improving a little on his fourth at Wetherby.
