Verdict

Strongpoint, successful twice at Musselburgh this season, ran a cracker in a valuable conditionals' race at Aintree on Grand National day under Steven Crawford. He races off the same mark here and is a leading contender but likes to force the pace and there are a few front-runners in this small field. Pas Trop Tard led until the second-last at Musselburgh last time and Just Cameron was only headed after the last when second at Ayr earlier this month. MINELLA RECEPTION has switched stables since his third at Newbury in February but is getting plenty of weight from his likely market rivals and may come out on top today representing a yard with an impressive strike rate at this track.
