In depth

Verdict

Fleet Street gets the confident vote in this novices chase with Flying Falcon and Nudge And Nurdle rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair second behind Finger On the Pulse at Cheltenham last time out, that form looks solid and with ground conditions again in his favour he will be hard too beat. Flying Falcon rates the main danger as he has won his last two races in good style notably when beating Scaramouche last time out. However all his best form is on a softer surface and he is taken on with this in mind. Nudge And Nurdle would have a chance on his best form but he took a heavy fall last time out and it is hard to know if his confidence would have been affected. The Whisperer looked a horse to follow on his first start of the season but disappointed for no apparent reason last time out. Of the remainder Sharp Reply's best form is over a shorter distance and with this in mind for the winner we return to Fleet Street who ran so well last time out.
