Rebelle gets the vote over Wot Way Chief, Talarive and Shared Account in the finale. This race looks the most wide-open on the card, but Rebelle is taken to get the losses back after his defeat at Uttoxeter earlier this month. Considering that he had been off the track since July 2005, it was amazing that Peter Bowen's charge was sent off as the favourite, and it was no surprise when he folded before the finish in the race won by Montevideo. However, he showed enough to suggest that he will be a different proposition this time, and he can give his in-form trainer another winner. Wot Way Chief was staying on at the one pace when second at Uttoxeter and should fare better over this longer trip, while Talarive may have been in the shake-up if not for a blunder three out on his recent visit to the Midlands track and is another to consider. Shared Account has been in consistent form but has risen to the top of the handicap, and so we are prepared to give Rebelle the chance to step up on his reappearance run.
