In depth

Verdict

Give Us A Gander, Schofield and Triton are three of the likelier winners of this race with Lenny Lungo's runner the suggestion. The son of Kayf Tara made an encouraging debut at Sedgefield under today's pilot at the end of last month. He spoilt his chance by racing too keenly that day but will know more about the job now and can go one better. Schofield showed enough at Cork to suggest that he may be able to win a race of this nature with normal improvement whilst Triton also showed ability on his one start back in 2007. Several of these are untried on fast ground and it remains to be seen how they handle conditions. The market should prove to be as informative as ever and should be monitored but our selection, Give Us A Gander has leading claims on all known evidence.
