Verdict

HOLD EM COWBOY won at Navan in December and scored over fences at Fairyhouse the following month. Gordon Elliott rarely wastes a trip across the Irish Sea and the top weight may have too much class for today's rivals. Los Nadis has the past form to figure but has disappointed since finishing second at Musselburgh on New Year's Day and, along with Ryton Runner, was well behind Sybarite over a longer trip here last month. Merrydown is also proving hard to place, as is Quel Elite, while Caerlaverock hasn't won since 2010.
