Verdict

Unless any of the newcomers is anything special, this looks all set to go to Corps de Ballet, with Aperitif best of the rest to have raced so far. Corps de Ballet was strongly fancied at Goodwood last time and indeed looked the likely winner a furlong out. In the end she had to be content with third but showed enough to suggest that this race is well within her grasp. An earlier fourth to Unshooda at Kempton adds weight to the argument, and John Dunlop¿s filly is an obvious choice. We expect Aperitif to prove best of the William Haggas duo although his newcomer Five Years On gets a favourable mention from the gallops. On a line through Nephetriti Way, Aperitif has a bit to find with the selection but should be on the premises for place purposes. Of the rest, Mount Vettore is interesting, but Lynda Ramsden¿s youngsters normally need a run or two, so we will not budge from Corps de Ballet as a solid choice.
