A modest finale in which question marks hang over the majority. Dad's Girl won on fast ground at Musselburgh last August but lacks a recent run, though isn't on her own in that respect. Mountain Man hasn't raced since July while the maiden Compton River was last seen in November. THE WISPE also makes her seasonal reappearance but her last run was in a Class 3 contest on soft going over an extra furlong and is easy to ignore. She'd won nicely in more suitable conditions at Musselburgh previously and could be up to landing this as Star Fire was behind Somedaysrdiamonds at Wolverhampton in November, though the winner saves her best for the all-weather and has an inexperienced apprentice on board for her reappearance. Robin Hill was well beaten in a seller earlier this month.
