Verdict

Planetoid and Steve Rogers have been running, and winning, on Polytrack and could feature if translating that form back to Turf. The latter is very lightly raced but is creeping up the weights. Wolverhampton maiden winner DIAKTOROS (NAP) was the subject of a gamble at Windsor on his handicap debut and didn't disappoint, making all and staying on gamely when challenged. He's got another 4lb to carry here but has been placed in a bumper so the longer trip should suit and he can complete his hat-trick. Hurry Home Poppa is only 3lb higher than when scoring over course and distance last July and showed enough on his reappearance to suggest he'll be in the firing-line. He's preferred to Percys Princess and Doncaster runner-up Slunovrat.
