In depth

Verdict

The drop back to a mile proved no problem for Trinity Star at Newcastle last time but a 6lb higher mark here is off-putting. Jersey Brown is a couple of pounds lower than when third at Bath but may have been flattered by that result and remains a maiden. Dutch Lady hasn't really threatened off a higher mark since winning at Thirsk in May but Leicester second Royal Encounter might be improving, though has still to show he stays this far. NORFOLK SOUND is less exposed than the majority of these and has shown signs of ability. She may be ready to open her account eased in grade.
