      Verdict

A large turnout does not make finding the winner easy, but in an open contest the vote goes to Woodbury ahead of the likes of Toppling and Mister Clinton. Karl Burke's four-year-old ran her best race for some time at Leicester eight days ago, finishing third, beaten only a length to Magic Music. That was off a mark of 60, and considering that she scored off a rating of 73 last August, is well treated and thrives in the summer. With Robert Miles taking off a useful seven pounds, she can give you a good run for your money from stall 17. The likely favourite, Toppling, one of four Milton Bradley runners, is drawn low and has the assistance of Kevin Darley. He beat stablemate Threat in a run-of-the-mill handicap at Yarmouth, but appreciated the drop in trip and can go close if the draw favours the far side. Mister Clinton is a course and distance winner and like the selection, is drawn high. He has flattered to deceive in the past but has the ability to take a hand. Komena will probably track Toppling through and it would be no surprise if he were to reach the frame either as he looks to be coming to hand. It is sure to be fast and furious but that will suit Woodbury who gets a speculative vote.
