Verdict

John Mackie sent out last year's winner and HURRY HOME POPPA (NAP) looks poised to follow up for the yard. Runner-up to the prolific Moscato over this trip at Newcastle last season, the five-year-old ran a cracker over 1m6f here three weeks ago behind another multiple winner, Steve Rogers. He's been left on the same mark and Paul Hanagan takes over the reins. Rowlestone Lass is rarely far away but hasn't raced since just touched at Wolverhampton in January and is probably a shade high in the weights at present. Shades Of Silver has his stamina to prove and has been raised 3lb since his second at Chepstow but Goodwood third Frederic Chopin is respected as he has the beating of Needless Shouting on their run together at Sandown last July.
