Verdict

Plenty of these are expected to raise their game at three in a very competitive contest. Few can be discounted but GILBEY'S MATE progressed steadily from race-to-race last term with one exception which was quickly put right with an emphatic 6l Catterick success on his final start. There should be little doubt about his readiness for action in view of the current stunning form of the Gosden yard and he rates a solid option in an open contest. Meteoroid looks the sort to progress at three for Lady Cecil and a good run is anticipated from the Niarchos colt whilst Secret Archive is one to watch after a hitherto under the radar approach from his yard.He could be interesting. Emef Diamond, consistent at two, and Marco Botti's maiden Maraayil are others to note in a potentially informative affair.
