Verdict

A competitive novice stakes here but the principals look to be Semah Harold, Unnefer and Jim Martin and the vote is given to Semah Harold. The selection won well on his debut when beating Without A Prayer, looks sure to have come on for the run and under similar conditions and with this longer trip also looking to be in his favour he looks a value bet. Unnefer rates the main danger on his latest second behind Raven's Pass. He is another that will be suited by this longer trip and with his yard continuing in good form he should be watched in the market. Jim Martin also won well on his debut when beating Lady Rochbonne and is another that is sure to improve but the time of that race for conditions was slow and he is taken on with this in mind. Piermarini is a well bred colt by Singspiel and should be watched in the market but the suspicion is he will come on for the run and for the winner we return to Semah Harold who could be anything.
