Verdict

Grandad Bill's last win came when trained by Tim Easterby back in 2005 but he is out of form and so the vote goes to Don't Mind Me ahead of Ruby Legend and Takes Tutu. The selection has found one too good in each of his last three starts and thus has been creeping up the weights for getting beaten. That isn't ideal, however the feeling is that today's drop in trip could be. He was held up to get the longer trip last time out but was given too much to do in the end. Classy jockey Kerrin McEvoy takes over in the saddle today and he looks primed for another big run. Course and distance winner Ruby Legend knows how to win and looked as if he was coming to hand last time out with a decent third at Newcastle. The booking of Philip Robinson for Takes Tutu looks interesting and the horse is over 30lbs below his highest winning mark. The veteran makes a return to turf today and should be watched for market support. Monsignor Fred should have come on for his recent run and now dropped in trip he warrants a check in the market. Royal Indulgence is another for consideration if avoiding one of his customary slow starts. Better ground will suit for Faversham and he goes on the shortlist, however Don't Mind Me can finally get his head in front.
