In depth

Verdict

Tangarita and Lovely Hidenka both hold solid claims in this big field but topweight Murrumbidgee gets our vote to conclude the card in style. The selection is stepped up to 10f for the first time and that is the key here. Eddie Ahern takes the mount and he was on board when the grey gelding ran around a bit at Warwick last week. He will have more time to get his mount involved here and that can pay dividends. Tangarita tries again over the trip, having been a close second at Bath last time. That performance entitles her to respect here and she should be thereabouts. Lovely Hidenka was beaten at Southwell last time and will encounter a much quicker surface here. She looks moderate at best and a place is probably her best hope, while Haiti Dancer looks best of the rest. Not a great race then and we take Murrumbidgee to score.
