Verdict

There was an awful lot to like about the debut win of DORBACK at Windsor in June and Henry Candy's charge can be fancied to follow up today. Flipping, Petougg and Waltz Around are progressive types that ought to be followed with interest, whatever happens today. The last named made a very pleasing start for Clive Brittain a fortnight ago and it will be interesting to see where the Newmarket handler goes with this half-sister to Improvise. Petougg could do no more than win at Haydock 11 days ago and, although on face value the form isn't up to much, this 11,000gns purchase has the scope to develop into at least a useful handicapper. Similar comments apply to Flipping, who has shown a liking for cut in the ground and, having won in good style last time out; Stuart Kittow's gelding can find another race before too long. However, Dorback looked an above average type when he came from last to first at Windsor on his debut and, as his price tag as a yearling outstrips the rest put together, it will hardly be a surprising to see the son of Kyllachy show his class in this company.
