Verdict

Formerly trained in France, Restiadargent's form tapered off after an eye-catching third behind Black Cavier in the Diamond Jubilee at Ascot. If new trainer Willie Haggas has her anywhere near that level on her return to action, she's clearly the one to beat. However, a chance is taken that SOUND OF GUNS can take advantage of today's weight concession and come out best as she has strong claims on last season's third in the Flying Childers at Doncaster. She had Hoyam behind on that occasion but a bigger threat could come from lightly-raced Irish raider Scream Blue Murder, a runner-up in Listed company last time to the high-class sprinter Maarek.
