Verdict

Three-year-old handicaps can be a bit of a lottery at this stage of the season as previous form often goes out of the window with many benefiting from another winter of growth. Singersongwriter has scope, however, having made a winning debut at Doncaster in October. Prospera, second on her final start at Wolverhampton in the autumn, is another likely improver while any market support for Dark Ocean would be significant. Mixed Message won at Catterick in October and followed up at Southwell in February while Ingleby Symphony got the hang of things at the back-end of last year and is still at the right end of the handicap. IVY PORT is having her first run on Turf but that shouldn't be a problem and she made giant strides at Southwell last month. With her fitness guaranteed, Mick Appleby's filly may just be worth a small interest in an open-looking heat.
