Verdict

SECRET CITY last won a race in May of last year when successful over today's C&D. He's steadily been dropping down the weights and with Kieren Fallon an eye-catching booking and a 4lb lower mark he's taken to get back to winning ways. He's A Humbug has gone even longer without winning but he's run very well in four of his last five starts from today's mark, the only poor effort coming on soft ground. Steel City Boy is better on the all-weather but has been going well on turf recently and must be considered along with Flaxen Lake, a winner at Bath last month before a decent effort on turf at Lingfield from his revised mark.
