        Verdict

        Lucy Wadham does well with her few Flat horses and LAVERRE enhanced that record with a first victory at Warwick 11 days ago when finishing more than five lengths ahead of fifth Market Puzzle. The filly looks to have strengthened up over the winter and may well be good enough to defy her penalty against rivals who have a bit to prove at present. Pattern Mark may need this while veteran Dragon Slayer has been struggling lately. Mr Maximas' turf record doesn't offer much encouragement and Professor John has only managed one win in 20 starts, though is fairly consistent.
