On the pick of her maiden efforts Lilly Royal is potentially well treated but returning to the conditions which saw AMETHYST DAWN record her only victory we'll side with Tim Easterby's filly with the consistent Iron Out also making the list in a wide open handicap. Still a maiden in handicaps the pick had been putting in some good efforts before disappointing off a pound heavier last time at Redcar. There wouldn't appear to be too many excuses for that but we are chancing that a return to these conditions will bring about the necessary improvement. Lilly Royal beat home a couple of animals rated in the seventies on her penultimate effort so is potentially well weighted off a mark of 65 for her handicap debut. The worry is that those she beat that day are overrated, however the soft conditions are right up her ally. Iron Out has been frustrating to follow finishing second best four times from his last six starts; he also won't have been helped by a three pound mark rise. Flying Silks has been solid off this mark the last twice and could feature again but we'll risk that Amethyst Dawn can get up on her favoured ground.
