    Verdict

Spring Secret went close three starts back in a similar contest and looks primed to go well with a title chasing jockey in the plate but that won't escape the notice of the betting public and a chance is taken with JACK DAWKINS instead. The ground may be a little softer than ideal but the gelding who was once rated as high as 96 ran his best race in a long time at Pontefract and is ridiculously well treated racing off a perch of 67 if he can build on that. Glenmuir has done the majority of his racing over shorter but has won over nine furlongs and should be involved as should Scarab and Oriental Girl but the other runner to make plenty of appeal is Club Tahiti who has also slipped a long way down the weights and may be able to take advantage now stepped back up in trip with conditions in her favour.
