Verdict

Stakes should be kept to a minimum in a very modest affair but JEWELLERY could have a chance if able to consign two poor recent runs to the dustbin. She'll be the one to beat if able to recapture the form that delivered handicap victories on successive days in September last season. One of those wins arrived over course and distance and the mare is a highly tentative choice. Lord Lescribaa is not one to rely on but does all his running at this venue nowadays and would be a leading player if on a going day. He does have an eight-month absence to overcome though. Rowanna was beaten miles last time by much better opposition than she faces here and might just be open to some improvement whilst Sovereign Spirit's fourth to Noble Chic last time brings him into the equation.
