In depth

Verdict

FOLIE A DEUX, who readily accounted for Misamon the last time they encountered each other on a racecourse, is taken as the one to shine again today. Indian Gold and Norborne Bandit are others with respectable form figures that should help to make this an active betting market, while Courella picks up a 7lb penalty after making a winning start for Evan Williams at Fontwell earlier in the week; so it has to be of interest that he makes such a quick reappearance. However, Folie A Deux was revitalised by the use of a tongue tie and, assuming that he gets the run of the race, the gelding has a sound chance of proving the handicapper is right in giving him the mantle of top weight in this company.
