Verdict

This looks the most competitive race on the card and course specialist Dean's Grange may struggle without the benefit of a recent outing. Schumpters Lad and Sky Calling also return from a break but Tornade D'Estruval was second at Huntingdon last month and should be winning soon. Mister Matt could also figure and is preferred to Temple Lord and Knapp Bridge Boy, who is 3lb out of the handicap proper, but MON CHEVALIER seems very straightforward and can continue on his upward curve by landing this under 7lb claimer Michael Nolan, who has been on board for both of his victories over fences so far. The luckless Great Kicker may be best of the rest.
