Verdict

Littledean Jimmy continues to run well but has now had 10 starts over hurdles without managing to get his head and this is the longest trip he's tackled so far. Russie With Love made a winning start over hurdles over this trip at Wincanton but was a little disappointing when only fourth at Exeter earlier this month while Shangani was beaten at odds-on at Southwell, though will have found that 2m trip too sharp. Winning pointer IN THE DOCK changed hands for £25,000 in the November sales and, though he'll undoubtedly do better over fences in time, may well be good enough to score over hurdles in the interim given a test of stamina. He gets the vote ahead of the one-paced Briefcase.
