In depth

Verdict

Southerness sets the standard in this maiden hurdle but with that one falling on his last outing we go for the Paul Nicholls newcomer ORGANISATEUR with Beyond Moonbeams also holding some interest. It a slight change from the normal French imports the champion trainer brings in this one is yet to try his luck over obstacles. The master handler must have seen something he liked in a few encouraging runs in Gaul's provinces and he's bound to be well schooled for the occasion. Beyond Moonbeams might make experience count as he has gone close a few times in nine outings and while it is a worry he has yet to get in front a first time tongue tie might bring about the necessary improvement. Jonjo O'Neill had some good results at the festival during the week and his newcomer Not A Bob is on our short-list. There's a few high-class relations in this geldings family and he looks a live contender on debut. Mega Watt ran a promising first try over timber before falling when repeating that form last time so with possible improvement to come he is also on our mind but in a tricky opener we take the chance on the latest Nicholls import Organisatuer.
