Verdict

Qrackers is likely to be a warm order in this heat and can justify his cramped odds. He may have most to fear from Ellerslie Tom and Ohana. It took connections a little time to get the best out of the ex-French performer but they appear to have done that now and he has won his last two starts over hurdles in facile fashion. He's a useful performer and can make the most of the allowances that he receives on his chase bow. Ellerslie Tom was a game front running hurdler and has adapted well to chasing. There was nothing wrong with his defeat by Premier Dane last time and he's likely to be the chief beneficiary if the selection's jumping fails to come up to scratch. Malakiya hasn't always looked straightforward and it would be no surprise were Ohana to ask more questions of the selection but he appears to have something to find and Qrackers should prove hard to beat.
