In depth

Verdict

Peter Bowen's Highglen has the highest rating of those with form over fences but he looked beaten when falling at Sedgefield last time and may have to settle for minor honours here against some interesting recruits with preference for Penny Pictures, who gets the vote over Adopted Hero. The selection has not won for three years but has been holding his form well during that time and if able to translate any of that form to the larger obstacles could easily be good enough to win this. Grand Slam Hero showed a consistent level of form over timber and has to be respected on his chasing debut, while No Complaint is less exposed than most of these and ran promisingly on his chase debut last time. Adopted Hero has failed to sparkle in two recent starts on the level but should be spot on for his return to jumping and has to be respected but preference is for Penny Pictures.
