Verdict

SILVER STEEL is given the vote to land this competitive conditions chase at the expense of Castlemore and Mysaynoway. The selection had been in good order during the spring winning at Fontwell on his penultimate outing. He was not discredited when finishing fourth behind Woody Valentine at Sedgefield last time out and has the services of Tony McCoy to steer him home. He still looks potentially well treated and if he can recapture his best form he will prove difficult to beat. Castlemore has to overcome an absence of over twelve month but his trainer Andy Haynes has his team of horses in fantastic form of late. He has won off a higher mark in the past and looks well in at the weights so any support in the market should be noted. Mysaynoway has been plying his trade in the Hunter Chase and point to point circuit winning in each sphere in his last two outings. His official rating of 90 means he is treated better compared to the majority of his rivals so he is added to the short list. Silver Steel does look the form horse in the race and is the preferred choice.
