    Verdict

John Ferguson's horses have struck form and HAWKER can provide the yard with another winner under A P McCoy. A winner at Lingfield for Godolphin in November, the superbly-bred son of Street Cry was thought good enough to make his debut over timber in a Listed contest at Musselburgh, which was won by his stablemate Broughton. That was in February but runners from the yard often improve for experience and this one looks no exception. On Tour will provide a big threat as Evan Williams' winning point-to-pointer and bumper is surely better than he showed on his hurdling debut at Worcester where he was beaten at long odds-on. Carre Noir arrives from France having had 14 runs in minor company without winning while another French import, Ice Konig, has won twice in 36 starts on the Flat.
