HERO FROM ZERO's form reads well and he is fancied to see off Flinty, Busker and Janood. Brian Meehan's Invincible Spirit colt was only beaten by six lengths on debut at Windsor. The winner that day has since gone on to win a nursery off 82 and the second has won since as well so the form looks solid and with improvement to come he could take some beating. Flinty represents the all-conquering Hannon yard and this son of Cape Cross is respected, along with fellow newcomers Janood (bred to be smart) and Labarinto (probably more of a three-year-old). Busker may have found the rain-softened ground against him at Nottingham on debut, Ice Cold Bex shaped well on debut at Newmarket when un-fancied at 33/1, whilst Proper Charlie and Granny Anne both displayed signs of ability on their respective debuts. Red Riverman is already gelded and doesn't leap off the page so is worth taking on unless the market says otherwise, and the horse to beat him could be Hero From Zero.
