      Verdict

Alben Star came unstuck behind Indian Ballad at York in October and Ed McMahon's charge is expected to uphold that form here having had the benefit of a recent run over this C&D. Commended got off the mark over a furlong extra here earlier in the month and should make a bold bid to follow up but Cadeaux Pearl might need this and Coeus is also probably best watched on his return from a long absence as his stable doesn't usually strike form until the summer. Bunce looks high enough in the weights now but the handicapper has had little to work with in rating SEAL ROCK and Henry Candy's gelding gets the vote. He quickened well off a decent pace to land a maiden at Doncaster on his racecourse bow and has the scope to go on the better things this year.
