In depth

Verdict

The harder of the two divisions to solve and a race likely to go to a newcomer. Pick of those may be MAQARAAT, perhaps the horse most likely to be straight enough to make a winning introduction as he's a half-brother to a multiple juvenile winner. The yard saddled the 2008 winner of this race and, although that horse had the benefit of a previous run, our selection has obvious paper credentials. Western Aristocrat and Lyric Street both represent top yards and are respected, particularly the latter who has a Derby entry, although they're expected to want further than this while Guisho will need to be above-average to make a winning debut for a yard whose juveniles tend to improve for a run.
