In depth

Formwatch

Canford (IRE) Has had a break since putting in apoor effort at Newbury in May; capable but would prefer cut in the ground to be seen at his best.

Norton (IRE) Has shown his best from on softish ground and any rain would be a big help to his prospects here.

Aegean Dream (IRE) Not the most consistent of mares but tends to reach her peak around this time of the season and should be straighter for two recent sighters; fair each-way prospects.

Burgundy Looks to be plenty high enough in the handicap for his achievements to date and although not beaten far last time, probably has something to find with the principals.

Captain's Log Scored nicely at Nottingham in May before disappointing at Yarmouth last time; has had a break and may come back better for it; not without a chance in an open contest.

Bright Hope (IRE) Very lightly raced mare who has shown little in recent seasons and is best watched at present.

Zulfaa (USA) A shade disappointing at York last time out in a muddling contest and could improve for more pace in the race; stable in form and market should provide a good guide to his hopes today.

Young Tern Out of sorts and hard to fancy on recent sorts; others preferred.
