In depth

Verdict

Air Squadron scored over 1m4f on his reappearance and won over today's longer distance at Salisbury last year. He should be in the mix and is preferred to Sandy Cove, a dual winner at Kempton early this year. Statsminister and Late Shipment are capable of getting involved on their seasonal returns though it's hard to gauge the worth of Argante's wins in France last year as he debuts for new connections. A winner at Bath in September, ROYAL SIGNALLER is back on a winning mark and drops down a grade. An apprentice's allowance further helps his cause and Mike Appleby's charge may well be good enough in this.
