John Gosden won this last year but Warwick third Gilbey's Mate lacks the scope of most of his rivals. Iftaar hasn't raced since May and finished behind Man Amongst Men at Newbury on debut, though the latter disappointed here in June and has something to prove now. YUFTEN is one of three William Haggas' runners in this maiden but looks the stable selection with Kieren Fallon in the saddle and can go one better than when only beaten a neck by the useful Barley Mow at Newbury last month. Tall Ships is a half-brother to two winners and is worth a market check but just as interesting is Baarez. He'll need further than this in time but Paul Hanagan rides him in preference to Iftaar and Mitraad.
