    Verdict

ASBAAB looks to have a straightforward task unless the newcomer is above average. Brian Meehan's charge finished behind three subsequent winners when fourth over track and trip last month and will take the beating in this company. The debutant Ernest Defarge is a half-brother to a hurdles winner so today's trip will be no problem for him and Silk Route ran well over 1m4f at Newbury last time. Bostonian made a modest start when third at Lingfield last week but looks likely to improve for this greater test of stamina.
