    Verdict

Disappointingly just the five runners line up for this Listed race in which it is hard to get away from the Michael Jarvis-trained LAAHEB, who gets the vote ahead of Whispering Gallery and Man Of Iron. Luca Cumani's colt showed progressive form in Ireland last season for Aidan O'Brien culminating with success in the Breeders' Cup Marathon and he has to be of interest on his debut and seasonal reappearance for new connections. Saeed Bin Suroor's Highland Glen disappointed in this grade on his most recent start at York's May meeting but the stable is in better heart now so he cannot be discounted. Jeremy Gask's Shahwardi looks to be out of his depth and of more interest may be the second Saeed Bin Suroor-trained runner, Whispering Gallery, who has his first run back in the UK after a couple of starts in Meydan during the winter. Laaheb is the clear form pick after his two runs this term in the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown and a Listed race at Goodwood and he is hard to oppose.
