Verdict

A moderate end to proceedings and we will take a chance on POINT OF LIGHT to get the better of this lot, with Intikama and Dark Ranger others short-listed. Sir Mark Prescott is no stranger to winners on their handicap introduction and Point Of Light fits that category. Three runs so far over an inadequate 6f have seen her beaten a total of 36 lengths, but the step up to this trip and another winter on her back look to be definite positives. The local handler has his string in good order and from a very low mark we will chance his filly here. Intikama remains on the same mark as when comfortably beaten at York on her first run in this sphere, but she should now be cherry-ripe for this and is expected to make her presence felt. Dark Ranger has made the frame on five of his last seven outings, winning the other two, so he would have to enter calculations on grounds of consistency, though he has gone up 2lbs since a Beverley defeat. Welsh Anthem will appreciate the step up to this trip and a 5lb drop in the weights and can get heavily involved, while both Kaolak and Mile High Lad are capable of getting competitive. Point Of Light can shine here.
