Steelcut and Special Quality have claims but may struggle to contain CAPTAIN COKE in the closer. Our selection followed up his Kempton win with a course and distance romp last time, despite having been keen as he saw plenty of daylight. The Irish raider can only improve for being covered up and looks more than capable of landing the hat-trick despite a 6lb penalty having struck up a winning partnership with Andrea Atzeni. Steelcut was behind Captain Coke at Kempton but having won since is actually worse off at the weights. Add that to the fact he had an easy time of things in front when winning last time and he's worth taking on, although arriving in such good form he may hang on for second. Special Quality may have something to say about that though and could also take Steelcut on for the lead. Frankie will surely be eager not to go off as quickly as he did last time when beaten a couple of lengths and if he can hang on to the horse a big run is expected, as he's totally unexposed and should progress. Brynfa Boy should get the strong pace he needs and that'll bring him closer to Steelcut than at Sandown, however he does remain a turf maiden and is opposable until showing he has what it takes to score on the grass. Tom Folan was behind our pick last time but is 6lbs better off and could go well as a course and distance winner although she's engaged to run at Warwick on Thursday. Captain Coke was impressive that day and gets our vote to go in again.
