In depth

Verdict

Another crop of juveniles for us to consider and Classical World looks like a classic Sir Michael Stoute improver and can take this from Cobo Bay, Meeris, Always Ready and Bailey can also go well again. The selection Improved on a 6f debut here when tried over a furlong further at Catterick last time, running on well for a clear cut success. Now he tries a mile he looks even more interesting and it is likely that he can go up another gear and follow up. Meeris shoulders top weight after being quite highly tried so far and running with credit. He tries a mile for the first time and can also improve for that, but he has a bit to do to win again. Cobo Bay carries a 6lb penalty for a 7f Wolverhampton win last time. He did the job nicely that day and he acts on turf so again, the step up in trip can prove beneficial and he is very much respected. Always Ready and Bailey have both been bridesmaid of late and the former perhaps has the better form of that pair. Neither are out of this by any means although whether they are better over 7f remains to be seen. It's another tricky one to solve then, and we take Classical World to land the prize.
