    Verdict

Mathoor is taken to make a winning debut at the expense of Meantime, Ashaawes and Portcullis to name but three. These two-year-old maidens at headquarters are always hard to unravel unless you are privy to each and every gallop report, so only a tentative vote goes the way of the tongue-tied Mathoor who is very well bred, being a half-brother to Group 1 winners Indian Haven and Count Dubois. John Gosden sets a poser by running two, Amadeus Rock and Meantime, so the market may reveal which is fancied the most, while Godolphin, who won this last year with Oude, send out Ashaawes. The stable has not been profitable to follow with its youngsters though, and he cannot be put forward with confidence, so we return to Mathoor as the possible answer.
