In depth

Verdict

Plenty of interesting newcomers not least Ed Dunlop's pair, however we will side with the proven Al Muheer who brings some solid form to the table and should be hard to beat. Al Muheer improved on his debut when third in a Listed contest at Sandown last month and whilst it is evident that he will appreciate further in time, his experience could see him through. He has shown an ability to handle varying degrees of ground so whichever way the ground turns, it should pose no problems. Amanda Perrett's newcomers normally improve for the run but she had a good debut winner recently so Dancing Dik warrants a glance. The betting should also guide to the chances of Ed Dunlop's pair but his horses tend to need the run, so of more interest may be Timocracy whose stable can ready a newcomer. Unnefer should come on for his debut, however we have no qualms in siding with Al Muheer as the selection.
