    Verdict

MICHITA handles any ground and John Gosden's filly gets the nomination ahead of stablemate Dar Re Mi and Lush Lashes. This has the makings of a good renewal and Gosden has a very strong hand. Michita failed to handle the track when midfield in the Oaks at Epsom but got back to winning ways when taking the Ribblesdale later in June. Not seen since, she has a little to prove but she handles any ground and should run a big race for regular pilot Jimmy Fortune. Olivier Peslier comes in for the ride on Dar Re Mi, as he did when she was successful just over a week ago in France. That may not have been the strongest of Group Threes but she should not be taken lightly. If we go back through the form book, she has plenty to find with Lush Lashes on their York clash in May but she has improved plenty for this longer trip since. Passage Of Time and Allegretto are both talented but each may struggle to give weight to these promising three-year-olds, so a bigger danger may be Lush Lashes. Jim Bolger's Coronation Stakes heroine steps back up in trip today but she is yet to prove that this trip is ideal, and whilst she deserves another crack at it on a track other than Epsom, she has a little to prove despite a luckless run in the Nassau last time. Cape Amber looks to be making up the numbers.
